WEALTH VS POVERTY Beyazit, Istanbul. Print only Size: 300 X 450mm

DKK 600.00

On my trip to Istanbul, I experienced beautiful contrasts in almost all the places we visited.

It is so magnificent how it is constantly changing in the environments, and depending on where you are, it unfortunately also affects the standard of living of the different social strata.

I’ve seen things that really stuck in my memory and really made me sad.

I’ll never get used to that.

Now it sounds like i’ve only experienced this in Istanbul - NO NO - it abounds everywhere, but here it was really bad.

In relation to the above, this work means a great deal to me.

It just symbolizes for me that it is a reminder to myself that there will always be a difference in how you manage as an individual, and that you have to be strong in certain situations.

When i see that boy in the picture, it reminds me a lot of my own childhood.

In my young years, I have also really tried living without having anything to live by.

It hurts me to see others feel this way, and at the same time I think it is extremely strong that you fight for survival.
