Who - but more important: WHY
What’s all the fuss about…
if you are sitting right now and reading about who I am here on my website - yes, it must be because I have aroused some kind of interest in you.
It has now been about 3 years since I took the leap into the unknown and chose to go all in on my greatest passion.
The photograph.
Prior to this, my life has been affected by many downturns, and in terms of work, it has given me some scars on my soul, as well as periods of both anxiety, stress and depression.
I still suffer from this at times, and if it wasn't for my family, I wouldn't be where I am today.
When I chose this route with the photograph I had no idea which way to go, but one thing I have always been aware of!
to be myself, do exactly what I want and when I want it.
Let's get one thing straight with a bold line underneath!
I only do this for myself because it is my great passion to take pictures and tell some stories.
The money is, and always will be, a secondary thing for me.
It is my passion and dream that this will grow bigger over time.
If it can pay my bills, that would be great.
As I said, when I started Blistphoto I didn't know where I was going with it.
There were all the commercial tasks that all other photographers are also fighting for out there, and I found out pretty quickly that it wasn't for me.
Partly because I couldn't contain it, but the interest also just lay in a completely different place.
I have always been very conscious of what I am worth when talking about these tasks, and have always refused to prostitute myself.
There are so many others who would like to. It's not because I just said no to these tasks in general. I have some lovely loyale clients that I make pictures for, and it's so cool when we do something together. Here I always have free rein to do what is needed to get the right expression for the task I have been given. That's what makes the difference for to me. It is not the money I receive for a task, but the expression I am allowed to use that gives me the joy of taking on such a task.
I've actually always known that there's something out there in front of me, but the road to get there is occasionally a challenge, but it's just a learning process.
It quickly dawned on me that the excitement and joy of creating my expressions via FineArt is something that makes me feel good.
It is simply a fantastic feeling to see my works printed on some fine paper.
Likewise, I am just as proud every time someone wants to buy my works, and thereby at the same time say good for me.
You must understand one thing about me.
If you think that, if you press the link here on the page for Instagram, you will enter a profile with 100K followers - well, you will be badly disappointed.
I don't have very many followers, and therefore dropped all that a long time ago.
My life is probably too short to spend too much time on this. Don't get me wrong - I love the possibilities in both Instagram and Facebook. I just need the things I am in the creative process with to be allowed the time that the proces requires. My work flow is slow and I enjoy every minute of it. Why this new website...
If you are reading this, I must have aroused some kind of interest in you.
In 2021 I took the leap into the unknown and chose to go all in on my greatest passion.
The art of photography.
Prior to this, my life has been affected by many downturns, and in terms of work, it has given me some scars on my soul, as well as periods of both anxiety, stress and depression.
I still suffer from this at times, and if it wasn't for my family, I wouldn't be where I am today.
When I chose this route I had no idea how to go about it, but one thing I have always been aware of: I want to be myself - and do exactly what I want, when I want to do it.
Let's get one thing straight: I only do this, because it’s my great passion to take pictures and tell stories.
Money is, and always will be, a secondary thing for me.
It is my passion and dream that this will grow bigger over time.
If it can pay my bills, that would be great.
You must understand one thing about me:
I don’t particularly like social media - and I will probably never have 100K followers.
My life is too short to spend too much time on this. Don't get me wrong - I love the possibilities that both Instagram and Facebook provide. But my creative process requires me to be present in ‘the now’. My workflow is slow and I enjoy every minute of it.
The future
The last almost 3 years have been a period with so many photographic experiences.
My friend Mads Guldager has also been an important factor in making these dreams come true.
It has been an absolutely indescribable time with a lot of beautiful moments - and pictures.
For a long time I have been walking around with a feeling of not having finished my art works properly.
I’ve felt like I have failed to convey the stories behind them.
Therefore, I have decided that the time has come for my physical studio to be changed into a gallery.
Here it will be possible to visit me more often and also get a good visual experience, and the stories behind every photograph.
Selected works will be available down there.
This is why this site was born, and it will be a place for all my art to be displayed together.
In addition, here you will be able to follow what I am doing and what projects are coming up in the future.
I hope you will enjoy my website and that there is something that piques your interest.
If you have any further questions about my works, prices or similar: do not hesitate to reach out and I will get back to you.
